Question 1: Will this work on black nails?
Answer 1: The LED lights up the nail so you can see what you're grinding instead of working in shadow. It won't show you where the quick is — no light can see through a dark nail, and anyone claiming otherwise is overselling. What works on dark nails is grinding a little, stopping, and looking at the cut surface for a change in texture or color. The light makes that easier to see. It doesn't replace it.
Question 2: My dog panics at the sound of clippers. Will a grinder be worse?
